GAP YEAR PROGRAMME IN AGRICULTURE SECTOR

Excellent  WORK EXPERIENCE for students and visitors.

This is the  Programme for Those who want outback farm or station work - working with horses, cattle and sheep, tractor and header driving, bull dozer work, fencing, mechanical work, chain saw work, horse work at stables, in trail riding centres, on Host Farms, with racehorses, polo ponies, camp draft horses or on cattle properties doing bore running, yard work, maintenance and ag bike work with cattle and sheep - must attend one of the Introduction to Agriculture Courses at our Partner’s Farm or one of the associate farms.

 There are so many jobs that it is possible to find something to suit the   

 skills of everybody BUT do not expect to be a tractor driver on the  

 highest rate of pay after 4 lessons - nor assume that you can do an

 outback cattle mustering job on horseback if a non rider before the

 course.

GAP Year Hospitality Training

In Australia

The programme is for those candidates who want to work in pubs, hotels, motels and road houses in rural Australia, who have not had previous experience there.

The Programme includes:

Five days board and accommodation based at either the Hotel, a small friendly hotel with a bar and a shop and restaurant or a Host Farm or a mixture of all of these experiences.

·         Instruction in kitchen work, cooking and food preparation, bar work, service at tables in the dining room, off license sales, and general cleaning. 

·         Help with  the Travel arrangements

·         Help with the Insurance

·         Help with Visas
